After teaching art to adults in the neurodivergent community for over a decade I decided it was time to follow my true passion, art therapy. Engaging my dual master’s degrees and experiences in both art therapy and neurodiversity, I now work from a problem-solving perspective and aim to help you feel less burdened with feelings of anxiety, depression, procrastination, and low-self-esteem. As an art therapist, I believe that art holds no judgements and can be a new voice for things that are too hard to talk about in words. In these times of disconnect, art and other therapeutic techniques can be used in a virtual setting as part of the therapeutic process to engage in connection and begin to understand oneself in a new light.
More recently, through my own experience into motherhood, I know how crucial support can be. Parenthood and becoming a new parent comes with its own unique challenges, but for those who are neurodivergent, or experiencing a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, those challenges can leave you feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Therapy is not one size fits all, and I aim to tailor my therapeutic knowledge and skills to fit your needs. As a trauma informed therapist with specialized trainings in postpartum mental health, art therapy, and EMDR I hope to help you feel less alone and find the skills to thrive throughout every stage of parenthood.
As part of the therapeutic relationship, my hope is to connect with you and your needs in a beneficial way to resolve underlying problems that create the symptoms you're feeling. I believe you already have the knowledge and resources to enhance your life, and will guide you in understanding how to use and recognize these tools.
My Philosophy for Care
I provide a warm therapeutic setting where we can build a trusting relationship conducive to honesty, growth, and healing. My primary approach to therapy is rooted in the expressive and healing properties of art. That said, through our virtual sessions, we will use numerous person-centered and strengths-based approaches to find inner strength and give a voice to things that can be hard to verbalize.
I recognize the need to work with each client on an individual level. Each person’s needs are unique and important. Using an eclectic approach rooted in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Art Therapy, and maternal mental health, my aim is to tailor our therapeutic relationship to your specific goals.
Education and Licensure
I am currently credentialed as an art therapist (ATR) and licensed as a professional counselor (LPC).
I have a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University, along with a Master’s in Special Education (M.Ed.) with a specialization in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from the University of Texas.

In my spare time...
These days, I devote most of my free time playing with my family. We spend afternoons in the backyard hunting bugs, splashing in the water, and playing fetch with our sweet dog. I also enjoy baking and try new recipes every week.
